Appeared on the American national broadcasting PBS documentary program “Now Hear This Season5”

The photos were taken at Sankeien Garden in Yokohama when the cherry blossoms were in full bloom. We were given special permission to arrange the flowers inside this important cultural property, where photography is usually not permitted.
The flowers, befitting this magnificent piece of architecture, were created using sewage, driftwood, and cherry blossoms. They were arranged so that they could be enjoyed from any angle, and were arranged so that they could be enjoyed from all four sides. Each arrangement was designed so that the different expressions could be enjoyed depending on the viewing angle.
Scott Yoo is a renowned violinist and conductor, and this is season 5 of the popular documentary series in which he travels around the world and connects it to music.
Scott incorporated the Japanese concept of “ma,” which is common to both Japanese painting and flower arranging, and this respect for “ma” into his own compositions.

The memorial photo.
After the shoot, when I was taking a commemorative photo with Scott, he suddenly said, “Let’s all take a photo together!” and the atmosphere became very warm. I was nervous, but it was a very fun shoot. I’m sure I’ll never forget it.
