Netflix”Glass Heart” — Flowers of Emotion on a Noh Stage

had the opportunity to create ikebana arrangements for the Netflix drama “Glass Heart.”
The series stars Takeru Satoh and centers around the world of music.
Satoh himself was deeply involved in the project from the planning stage and is credited as an executive producer, making it a particularly passionate production.
The cast is remarkable, and the musicians who contributed to the soundtrack are equally impressive.
Watching the series makes you want to create music yourself.
In fact, after watching it, I found myself sitting at the piano and playing quite intensely for a while. (laugh)
The ikebana appears in Episode 7, in a scene for the music video of the popular singer Yukino Sakurai.
In the story, Yukino is overwhelmed by a storm of emotions—anger, anxiety, sorrow.
Those feelings build and erupt like a volcano.
I tried to express that mass of turbulent emotion through flowers.
The role is performed by Akari Takaishi, who will soon appear as the heroine of an upcoming morning drama series this autumn. As a longtime fan of morning dramas, I am very much looking forward to it.
The singing voice in the scene is performed by the artist ao.
The arrangement itself is quite large—
in the drama, it is carried by four adults.
The filming took place on a Noh stage.
Within the serene and almost sacred atmosphere of the stage, the flowers rise with explosive emotional energy.
The contrast between stillness and intensity created a powerful presence in the scene.
To give shape to the moment when emotion erupts—
that was the challenge behind this work.
