At Ikebana workshop
The other day I was working on an event with Kohei Uchimura, an Olympic athlete, and I got his autograph! I was so touched!!!
With powerful and beautiful my assistants!
Uchimura’s workshop was before mine, so I watched a little bit and was really amazed. He showed off some incredible techniques on the mat that I couldn’t believe were possible with a human.
Without even a run-up, his body suddenly spins multiple times in the air. I don’t know how to describe it in words, but I was so moved that a human can do this!
He’s an Olympic gold medal after all, so it’s really incredible. Even though I thought I understood it in my head, it was still amazing to see!
Just thinking about how long he must have been fighting against himself made me want to bow down to him.
It was an honor to have been able to join him.
