Interactive art “We all have a flower within” with Loss Flowers

With the catchphrase “Why not arrange flowers, gaze at flowers, and notice the flowers inside you?”, we handed out flowers to visitors at the entrance to the venue. Visitors were asked to choose their favorite flowers. The flowers were anemones, the brand’s theme flower, and ranunculus, which have a gentle atmosphere, and all were prepared from lost flowers, with consideration for the environment.
I believe that the sight of all the visitors walking around the venue with flowers in their hands is also a form of art.
Humans have been arranging flowers since ancient times.
People arrange flowers, even though it is not an absolute necessity for survival like food or sleep.
I believe that the act of arranging flowers is an art in itself.
Arranging flowers is not just about displaying flowers, it is an art that frees people to nature and liberates their hearts. I created this with the hope that as many people as possible can experience the joy and fun of arranging flowers.

“We all have a flower within, by Mika Otani
Evoking the spirit of a golden Christmas tree, this floral masterpiece invites guests to become part of its unfolding beauty. The tree itself was selected from Tokyo location and painted in gold akin to Perrier-Jouët Blanc de Blancs cuvée.
Especially for this art piece, Mika Otani carefully sourced Japanese anemone and ranunculus flowers which were originally intended to be disposed in collaboration with flower farmers in Hokkaido. Each visitor of the pop-up will contribute to this art piece by placing their flower anywhere at the base of the tree. This simple act of offering and arranging is a reminder of our direct connection with nature and is also a core philosophy of ikebana.
The masterpiece will bloom over the course of the pop-up period and take shape as every individual arranges their flowers in a personal expression of creativity. At the end of the event in the end, the artwork is complete—an intricate tapestry woven by the hands of many.”
